HTC One M9 smartphone was launched in March 2015. The phone comes with a 5.00-inch touchscreen display with a resolution of 1080 pixels by 1920 pixels. Backup Text Messages on HTC One M9
Launch the Messages app.
Tap Menu > Back up/Restore SMS > Back up > Back up SMS.
Enter the name of the backup file and click OK.
Restore Text Messages on HTC One
You can only restore text messages that were exported using the Back up SMS feature.
Open the Messages app.
Click Menu > Back up/Restore SMS > Restore.
Choose how you want to restore the messages, and then click Next.
Tap the backup file to import.

Backup HTC One M9 to PC
Step 1.Launch the Program on Your Computer
After you installed the HTC Data Manager software, run it and plug your HTC One M9 in the PC/Mac via an USB cable.
Step 2.Backup Data to PC
After connecting, click “Toolbox” button at the upper right of home screen and click on “Backup Device” option.
By default, all data that can be backed up is selected. You can uncheck the data that does not need to be backed up. Then click the “Backup” option at the bottom right of the screen in order to complete the HTC One backup process.
Restore HTC One M9 Backed Up Data
Step 1.Select “Restore Device” Option
Launch the HTC Data Manager program, click “Toolbox” tab on top of the screen and navigate to “Restore Device” option.
Step 2.Select Files That Have Been Backed Up
You have two options of selecting them, either manually on your computer or just from the list. Once you have selected the file you are interested in and then click “Next” to start the recovery process.
Step 3.Select Content to Restore
You will notice that all recoverable data will be ticked by default. To retrieve these contents back to your HTC One M9, tick them and click “Restore“.
Note: You can also choose to delete the contents of the phone before restoring from the backup.
